ETHICS AND PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE IN CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY:
Sinopsis:
This course consists of lectures, seminar, group discussion and (an online) visit to a mental health hospital. It adopts evidence-based approach in enhancing knowledge and practice related to clinical psychology. It comprises of introduction to history of clinical psychology and mental health services. At the same time, the theories and research in clinical psychology would also be included. In addition, the clinical assessments including diagnosis of mental disorders are also emphasized. The course content also covers ethical and legal issues in clinical psychology. The role of culture in mental health belief, mental health services and the complementary medical approaches will also be discussed.
