COMMUNITY SOCIAL WORK
Salah satu cabaran yang dihadapi oleh pekerja sosial ialah bekerja dengan komuniti yang berbilang kaum dan mempunyai pelbagai latarbelakang budaya. Memahami sesebuah komuniti dan bekerjasama dengan komuniti tersebut merupakan satu pendekatan komprehensif kerja sosial yang boleh digunakan oleh pekerja sosial untuk memberi bantuan dan perkhidmatan kepada mereka. Kaedah ini penting dan boleh memperkasakan komuniti itu sendiri. Kursus ini berusaha mendedahkan pelajar kepada kaedah, model, teori dan prinsip dalam proses memperkasakan komuniti bagi menghasilkan persekitaran komuniti yang positif.
One of the challenges for social workers is working with a community of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Understanding and developing a close relationship with the community without doubt is a comprehensive social work approach that social workers can use to provide help and services to the community. This approach is important as it can also empower the community. This course aims to teach students methods, theories and principals of community empowering process in order to develop a positive environment in the community.
