Kursus ini bertujuan memberi fahaman kepada pelajar tentang konsep dan kaedah statistik yang digunakan dalam bidang ekonomi dan perniagaan. Perbincangan meliputi pengenalan kepada statistik, perihal data secara visual dan numerik, pengenalan kepada kebarangkalian, taburan kebarangkalian, taburan pensampelan, penganggaran, ujian hipotesis, analisis varian, ujian Khi-kuasadua, kaedah statistik tak berparameter, analisis kolerasi dan analisis regresi. Selepas mengikut kursus ini, pelajar seharusnya boleh mentafsir output statistik yang diperoleh berdasarkan konteks ekonomi dan perniagaan.
This course aims to provide understanding to students about the concept and the statistical methods used in economics and business. Discussion will include an introduction to statistics, visual and numerical description of data, introduction to probability, probability distributions, sampling distributions, estimation, hypothesis testing, analysis of variance, Chi-square test, nonparametric statistical methods, correlation and regression analysis. Upon completing of this course, students will be able to interpret statistical output based on the economic and business context.
